Competitiveness of the Sudan Live Sheep Exports in the Saudi Market

The strong and growing demand for live sheep in the Saudi market enhanced state of competition among exporting countries Sudan, Syria, Jordan, Romania, Australia, New Zealand others.The aim this paper was to assess competitiveness Sudanese exports vis-à-vis competitors. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analytical approach applied toachieve objective. Data from Food Agricultural Organization United Nations (FAO) International Trade Statistics Yearbook (UNITS), period 1992- 2013, were used calculate RCA index. results showed an increasing trend share world market, despite clear fluctuations, as it increased 4% 1992 22% 2013.
